It has been undertaking many tasks successively, including hydrology, water depth, landform control and measurement, high precision navigation and positioning and marine investigation for some dozens of domestic and foreign ports and more than ten rivers, providing hydrological surveying result within more than 4000 sq.km. and underwater topographic surveying result of more than 10000 sq.km. for development, treatment, environmental protection research and engineering design of each port and river.
